Three ways to make a pre-ceremony film: DIY, a studio, or a self-service tool
Not sure whether to edit it yourself, hire a studio or use a self-service tool? Compare cost, time and how changes work.

There are three main ways to make a pre-ceremony wedding film. The right one depends on your budget, how much time is left and how comfortable you are with editing.
1. Edit it yourself
Lay out photos and music in PowerPoint, CapCut or Premiere Pro.
- Cost: close to nothing if the software is free.
- Time: first-timers often spend several days from sorting photos to exporting.
- Watch out for: venue screens are landscape (16:9), so many portrait photos leave empty sides. Fonts for names and dates, photo timing and fitting the music all take care.
The cheapest option if you enjoy editing and have time.
2. Hire a studio or freelancer
Send photos and text to a video studio.
- Cost: varies by studio and package; usually hundreds of thousands of won.
- Time: days until the first draft, and another wait for each change.
- Watch out for: limited revisions or extra fees; check before signing.
A good choice if you want a professional finish and your schedule allows it.
3. Use a self-service tool
Put your photos and text into a template and the film is made for you. Opening Film works this way.
- Cost: usually less than a studio. Opening Film is ₩59,000 per film, VAT included.
- Time: upload photos scene by scene, add your text, and preview right away.
- Pluses: watch the finished film for free before paying and change the order and text as often as you like. Opening Film animates your chosen childhood photos with AI, and you can edit the text and photos for free for 30 days after delivery.
